Nature is a redesign of Evolution to be more streamlined, more forgiving, and seamlessly expandable. The secret sauce is a modular system that allows players to create and explore a unique ecosystem each time they play. Your goal is to grow thriving populations in a dynamic ecosystem where food is scarce and predators lurk. Evolve traits like Tusks for foraging, Fast for escaping danger, or Claws for hunting.
Nature is a card-driven tableau-builder played over 4 rounds. Each round is split between the Adapting Phase and the Feeding Phase. During the Adapting Phase, you will have 5 cards that can be used to:
- Increase Population
- Increase Body Size
- Play as a Trait to power-up your species
During the Feeding Phase, you will feed as many of your population as possible. At the end of the round, players get 1 point for each population they kept alive. The winner is the player that kept the most population alive over all 4 rounds.
